Having the involvement of a speech4schools therapist will mean that staff and parents feel supported in helping the child with speech, language and communication needs to develop and grow.

The therapist will become well known in the school and will always be approachable for staff and parents to ask questions. The support offered will not end when the therapist leaves the school at the end of the day; they are available at any time for advice for your school and so queries never need to wait until the next visit and suggestions can be actioned straightaway for the child. We can always be contacted easily by phone or email.

The therapist can support school staff in setting targets and applying for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). They can also be present and offer support at important school events e.g. welcoming new parents to explain their role or being available for parent consultation evenings.
